In a world full of endless products and the challenges your skin faces, it can be overwhelming to find the right routine. But don’t worry—with the right steps and products, you can achieve radiant, healthy skin. Whether you want a simple routine or a more comprehensive approach, No Fancy Label helps you get started with the skincare routine that fits your budget and schedule.
Why routines are important
A consistent skincare routine is essential for maintaining healthy skin. Regularly cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting helps to:
- Remove excess oil, dirt, and makeup
- Keep the skin balanced and prevent irritation
- Counteract premature aging
- Promote an even, radiant complexion
By following the same steps every day, you give your skin the best foundation for healthy functioning every single day.
The basic skincare routine
Regardless of your skin type or needs, there are some essential steps you should take every day:
Step 1: Cleansing (a must!)
- Morning and evening
Use a mild cleanser like the Cleanse like a boss Micellar Water or the Daily Detox Delight Purifying Mousse to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. Of course, we don’t need to tell you not to go to sleep without cleansing your face and removing your makeup, but did you know that double cleansing can make all the difference for your skin?
Double cleansing (see this blog as well) is, especially in the evening, necessary to keep your skin healthy, fight breakouts, and put a halt to skin aging. We would even dare to claim with a straight face that half of your skin problems would be solved if you double cleansed twice a day...
Step 2: Toning (recommended)
- Morning and evening
After cleansing, it is important to prepare the skin for the next steps using a toner. A toner helps to:
- Restore the skin's pH balance after cleansing
- Remove excess oil and residues of makeup or cleansers
- Calm, refresh, and balance the skin
- Prepare the skin for better absorption of serums and moisturizers
No Fancy Label’s toners have been specially developed for gentle, effective toning, regardless of whether you have dry or oily skin. The formulas are enriched with Glycerin or Panthenol, moisturizing agents that hydrate and soften your skin, with Allantoin, which stimulates cell repair and has a mild exfoliating effect, and plant extracts that calm and balance your skin.
Step 3: Serum (a must!)
- Morning and evening
Serums are highly concentrated products packed with natural ingredients that give your skin a huge boost. This allows you to truly address specific skin concerns, such as fine lines, pigment spots, a loss of firmness, or blemishes.
In the morning, apply an antioxidant serum like Vitamin C Serum for protection against free radicals and to reduce pigment spots, or a peptide booster like the Botox in a Bottle Serum or the Collagen Serum to target anti-aging.
In the evening, a Retinol or Bakuchiol serum is ideal for stimulating cell renewal. Because we aren't fans of the irritating ingredients in Retinol, we love the Bakuchiol Oil Serum. A game changer for your skin that you can use every evening without any issues.
Step 4: Moisturizer (a must!)
- Morning and evening
Finish with a moisturizing cream that suits your skin type, such as the Niacinamide Gel Moisturizer for oily skin or the Anti-Age Day Cream for drier skin. You can find all moisturizers for morning and evening, along with the skin types they are suitable for, here.
Step 5: Eye cream
- Morning and evening
The skin around your eyes is delicate and requires proper care. The Uplift & Smooth Eye Cream is a true super-vitamin for the delicate skin around your eyes. The peptides, antioxidants, Vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid provide a boost and ensure firmness. Bye-bye, fine lines and puffiness. And did we mention that this eye cream makes a perfect primer for your concealer?
Step 6: SPF (a must!)
- Morning
During the day, don’t forget to protect your skin against harmful UV rays with a sunscreen like the Tinted Shield SPF30. This mineral SPF is tinted so it leaves no white cast, and it’s wonderful because it absorbs quickly. The tinted SPF is also the perfect base under your makeup.
Want to give your routine a boost?
- Evening
Use the AHA Peeling 1-2 times a week. This intensive formula contains 10% lactic acid that gently removes dead skin cells, promotes skin renewal, and helps to brighten dull and tired skin while reducing pigment spots and fine lines.
Do you suffer from dry skin or eczema?
- Evening
Then you will love a few drops of Liquid Gold; No Fancy Label’s Facial Oil is a nourishing facial oil with 11 organic certified oils and is a true superfood for your skin. Thanks to the natural ingredients, it is also suitable for eczema spots on your children.
Remember
Real results come from sticking to your routine! Don't expect miracles if you crash into bed at night with your makeup still on or if you consistently skip your serum and SPF in the morning because you're rushing. Great results come from hard work.
